Passenger side Celica-Supra seat is in. Now they match! That's another one on the list checked off.

Love these in wagon form only - Mom had an '84 in white. Loved that torquey and smooth inline-6 from the Supra!

Those are a nice upgrade! Do they bolt straight in?

No, I had to make some brackets and weld to the rails.

Long time lurker and this is a good time as any to introduce myself.
My name is Mike and I just moved to the states and picked up an '87 Cressi wagon as a birthday present a little while back!

Nice! If you need any tips let me know. These things are pretty rare, I've only ever seen one other one in person and that was years ago!

Haha thanks! I need all the help I can get! Have quite a few things that need fixing, including rear drivers side drum is soaking in brake fluid and my rack and pinion has a leak. Has 140k miles on the body and a newly transplanted 63k mile 5mge but sadly with an auto trans.

RockAuto has all your braking needs, and even has reman power steering racks and lines at reasonable prices. If you ever want to swap a manual, or do suspension work, my build thread may be of assistance.

Wow man, thanks! You saved me a big headache. Speaking of, i found a crashed '86 Cressi sedan up in Peekskill, NY with the same exterior and interior we have in case you can think of anything you might need. I'm also having some issues with my passenger side windows, the rear one will go down but not up, and the front one works every now and then but not when its very humid or it has just rained... any ideas?
Manual trans swap is coming up next as well as i was looking into doing a lsd/disc brake swap from a supra, any ideas if this is doable? As i just recently moved to the states and live in an apartment i can barely do any work on it myself though which limits my diy projects.
Thank for making such a detailed build thread, its an invaluable resource!

Window issues are likely to be corroded contacts in the master switch assembly. Every window's wiring goes through it, regardless of which switch you use.
As for a manual swap, here's what you'll need
W58 transmission (with shifter assembly) from a 1986.5 - 1992 Supra non-turbo
Flywheel, clutch, throw-out bearing, and pilot bearing from any manual 5M-GE or 7M-GE car
Clutch pedal assembly from an AE86 bolts in, but Xcessive Manufacturing makes a pedal assembly as well
MK2 Celica-Supra clutch master cylinder (Xcessive has a pedal/MC package I think)
Braided steel clutch hydraulic line from either DriftMotion or Xcessive
Slave cylinder from MK3 Supra non-turbo
Speedometer cables (long and short sections) from 86.5-92 Supra non-turbo
Bypass/rewire neutral safety switch (info in my build thread)
Rewire reverse light switch (info in my build thread)
Modify/drill new holes in your transmission crossmember mount thing
Get custom driveshaft made (details in my build thread)
Aaand you're done! It's a fair bit of work but completely worth it in my opinion, the 5M really wakes up in the higher revs which the auto just won't allow.

Damn, thats quite the shopping list, might have to wait til winter time to get all that done, got a new "race cat" and 2.25" cat back exhaust put on this morning, now she has a bit of a growl and a better pedal feel. Will get the master switch checked out, thanks!

So the last few days a loud grumble has started to occur in my diff, im dreading the cost of a rebuild but i cant seem to find any replacements. You dont happen to know what diffs bolt straight in since the wagon has a solid rear axle and the sedan or supras of that vintage do not.

You can rebuild yours (you can still get the spider gears, shims, bearings, etc from Toyota, but kinda pricey) but the best thing you can do is find a solid axle from a 78-81 Celica-Supra. It uses a 7.5" diff, meaning you can use LSDs out of MK2 Celica Supras, X7 Cressida sedans, and crazy offroad locker diffs for the front of old 4wd Toyota pickups/4runners. It also bolts in apparently and has disc brakes. Only problem is they are very rare and very expensive.

Thanks for the quick reply, will be on the hunt, but looks like a rebuild is in order as i suspect it would be hard to find one quickly as i need the car quite often.

I'll see if I can grab some part numbers while I'm at work.

OK here's what I got. It's pretty much every wear item in the axle, but you may only need some bearings if that's what's grumbling on yours.
Diff oil drain/fill gasket (x2) 12157-10010
3rd member gasket 42181-30010
Diff bearings (x2) 90368-45066-77
Pinion nut 90179-18001
Pinion oil seal 90311-38047
Front pinion bearing 90366-30078-77
Rear pinion bearing 90366-35064
Pinion crush spacer (might wanna get a few of these, they are one time use and if you screw it up you need another one) 41231-22020
Spider gear washers (x2) 41351-30032
Spider gear (x2) 41341-30011
Side gear kit (SHOULD include left and right) 41039-28010
Side gear spacer washers (x2):
These come in different thicknesses (in mm)
0.95 41361-22140
1.00 41361-22020
1.05 41361-22150
1.10 41361-22030
1.15 41361-22160
1.20 41361-22040
Axle bearings (x2) 04421-30012
Axle oil seals (x2) 90311-52059
Axle bearing retainer gasket (x2) 42425-14020
Axle housing end gasket (x2) 42185-14020
Hope that helps!

Hey, so a little too late, the car lost the rear drivers side axle on the highway, and was quoted 3200 to get it fixed if they can even get the parts, looks like im going to have to get rid of it if youre interested or know anyone.
